Flying North for the winter 11th April 2007
Hey Guys and Girls,
Well summer has come to end for me.. well in New Zealand anyway! Palmerston North has been a real surprise package for me. I thought it was going to be tough to be here. And complete the training load all by myself but with some supportive people around me the time has flown by.
Big
thanks to Mum and Dad for putting up with there son moving back home!!
It was well worth it and I look forward to returning here for an olympic
build up in 08. Tomorrow I head off to Japan for the second round of the
World Cup series on Sunday. Then onto my second home in Saarbrucken, Germany.
I'll be basing myself there for most of the year with sometime spent in
Boulder in June /July with my mate Bevan Docherty.
I have a fairly light schedule of racing this year. That way I can really hit form at the key races throughout the season. And still be in the best possible shape for myself late in the year for the Olympic selection trial in September. I'll promise to keep you all up to date with everything I get up to during the season. Of course with the regular race reports.
And I'll be updating my website with all that goes on in the life of a traveling professional athlete. So to all those in New Zealand, sorry the winter is on its way!! Enjoy it as much as you can. And never be a window trainer. Take care and I'll be thinking of you all during the months ahead ( with a tan and sun on my back ha-ha).
Cheers Kris
