Manawatu Sportsperson of the year 27th November 2007
Good morning everyone,
On Friday night I had the great honour of being chosen as the Manawatu sportsperson of the year for 2007. It was a great honour to receive this award after everything I achieved during year. I had set a lot of goals for myself and I managed to cross everyone off by the end of the season and that is rewarding in itself. But as I stood up there looking out at all the great sports men and women past and present from the region. And all the supporters and sponsors of sport in the Manawatu. I quietly thought to myself as I received the award that I would look forward to standing up there again next year with something really to show off to all those in the region.
I also had a busy weekend in Taupo at the round the lake cycle
challenge. An amazing event! So many kiwi's getting on there bike's to
keep healthy and fit. I was standing up on stage handing out prizes and
looking out at all the 13,000 people and I thought where else in the
world would you see something like this.

Apart from that normal life has resumed for myself. I've settled into my new home for the next 6 months or so. And am really looking forward to starting full time training come December 1st.
If anyone needs to get in touch with me in the meantime I'm back on my NZ cell number 0212646369.
Take care,
Kris
