New Plymouth World Cup report 8th April 2008
Morning everyone.
Well It's 7am and the sun is rising, and I'm running in and out of the sea with Rangitoto gleaming in the background.... it looks magic! I'm up in Auckland for a photo shoot with the Powerade boys. I'm still a bit stiff and sore after my first world cup event on Sunday in New Plymouth.
As most of you will know by now I finished 4th in the weekend. It was a great result considering where I'm at in my build up to Beijing. If you had said to me before the race that I would run 30.10 on that course I would have gasped for breath! So in short everything is well on track. The summer has gone so well for me here in Palmerston North and I cant wait to get over to my base in Europe and start this next phase.
I'll race again this weekend in Japan in my second World Cup of the year. It will be another fun race and I hope the legs and body have recovered enough to go again.
Until then take care and I'll try to catch up with everyone before heading away.
Cheers,
Kris
