The year ahead 10th January 2008
Lets the games begin...
I trust that everyone had a safe and well earned rest over the holiday break! For some of us it was business as usual and santa was just an excuse to sit down for half a day which was great but for every other day it was full on with training.
So we have reached 08 and the games are getting ever closer. I have just done my first 5 week block for the year. And will now start the second phase. Its great to know that I'm well ahead of where I was at this time last year which is what we had expected as part of the plan. I'll get into some light training races locally here in the Manawatu over the next few weeks. But my first real hit out wont be until the Oceania champs in the first week of march. I have nearly finalised my programme leading into the games and will let you all know very soon.
So really I just wanted to quickly wish you all a happy new year! and that 2008 is a great year for everyone. I thought late into the first week back at work...When everyone is maybe struggling with the post holidays blues was as good a time as any.
